What is TeamViewer?

TeamViewer is a proprietary computer software package for remote control, desktop sharing, online meetings, web conferencing and file transfer between agency computers. The software operates with the Microsoft Windows, OS X, Linux, iOS, and Android operating systems. 

The Washtenaw ISD Technology Department uses TeamViewer for the above listed purposes. We have purchased a proprietary license from TeamViewer and have legally added our branding and security into the application. The only time you should be using TeamViewer is at the request of WISD Technology personnel. All WISD computers are imaged with TeamViewer already installed. Technology staff will either ask you for your TeamViewer number or in the case of a non-WISD computer, they will ask you to download the WISD version of TeamViewer from the WISD Website. If your TeamViewer number is requested, staff will be happy to talk you through the process of finding it.  Both methods require the person requesting control of your machine to know the Connection Password, a personal WISD passcode known only to the WISD Technology department. In this way you can be assured that it is the WISD asking to remote your computer and not some scam artist.

TeamViewer Access

If directed by a Technology Technician, you can download the Washtenaw ISD TeamViewer application to your local machine by clicking on the TeamViewer Button below. The application will offer the correct version of TeamViewer based on your computer's operating system.  Download the file and run the installer as normal, for your system.  After the install information will be displayed that you will need to give to the Technician.

Once you have provided the Technician with the information they need, they will be able to access your computer remotely and assist you.

Entering a Customer Service Request

If you are experiencing a technical problem please navigate to the CSR Ticket Login Page and enter your WISD network username and password in the appropriate fields. After you login, create a ticket describing the problem.  The tickets generated by the system send alerts to everyone in Technology, so we will see your ticket and respond.

Calling the Help Desk

If your problem is an emergency, call us at x1286 (734-994-8100 x 1286). The phones are manned M-F; 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Customers requesting support, who are not employees of WISD, should still call the Help Desk number.  If we can help you, we will.
