Evaluation and Intervention birth-5

Early On / Early Intervention

Most parents wonder at times if their child is growing and developing like other children. If you think that your child’s growth, learning, or social skills are not the same as those of other children the same age, don't worry, but don't wait.

If you have questions about how your child is developing or if you think that your child might need extra help, you are entitled to a free evaluation through Early On (age 0-3) or Build Up Michigan (age 3+).

Make a Referral

Place an Early On referral (age 0-3) by completing an online form at Early On of Michigan or by calling 1-800-Early-On (1-800-327-5966).

Place a Build Up Michigan referral (age 3+) by calling Alicia Kruk at 734-994-8100 x 1272.

Free developmental questionnaire

If you do not want to make a referral, but are still curious about your child’s development,  you can take a free developmental questionnaire thanks to Washtenaw Success by 6 Great Start Collaborative.

Do you have a 3, 4, or 5 year old struggling to learn?

Build Up helps parents and their children, ages 3 through 5, get additional educational support as they begin and continue to learn the skills needed to enter kindergarten.

Build Up's goal is to refer all children who may be eligible for special education services to the appropriate agencies, through Michigan’s Administrative Rules for Special Education and the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act Part B.

If you are concerned about your 3, 4, or 5-year olds development and would like to request a Special Education Evaluation, please click the link below to submit a request. * If your child already has an Individualized Education Plan (IEP) in your local school district, you do not need to submit a new request. If you have questions about an existing IEP, please contact your local school district.
