We provide a friendship program where individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) are paired with college students at the University of Michigan to create genuine friendships and have fun!

We target individuals aged 18-26, but all are welcome. Email us to join today! 

Best Buddies State of Michigan

Best Buddies is the largest organization dedicated to ending the social, physical and economic isolation of the 200 million people worldwide with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). We build friendships between individuals with and without IDD. 


Please contact Lydia if you are interested in joining Best Buddies Citizens in Washtenaw County. This program is not affiliated with a school or day program, and is targeted for individuals aged 26+ with and without IDD who are looking for friendship opportunities).


We are also looking to open more Best Buddies chapters in Michigan! If you have a lead at any K-12 school or college, please also reach out to Lydia so that we can bring Best Buddies to you!
