Business Services

The Business Services department of Washtenaw ISD provides a wide array of services to support school district operations in an efficient and effective manner.

These services include but are not limited to the following:

  • Act 18 reimbursements for Special Education; financial audits.
  • Pupil accounting audits.
  • Maintenance of effort calculations for Special Education costs.
  • Budget strategy.
  • Business office technical and general assistance.
  • Medicaid Outreach administration and payment.
  • State reports.
  • Shared business services for business management services.
  • Accounts payable and receivable.
  • Financial Information Database (FID) reporting.
  • Payroll, general ledger including 1022 Accounting Manual support.
  • State and Federal reporting and county-wide transportation consortium.

The Business Services department also provides Grants administration for Federal and State grants benefiting all schools in Washtenaw County, as well as public school districts outside Washtenaw County
