Western-Washtenaw Area Value Express (WAVE)

WAVE is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to providing transportation for all in Greater Western Washtenaw County by enhancing access and opportunity in our community. 

WAVE connects residents to essential resources, employment, education, recreation, and community events, empowering individuals and promoting sustainable growth for local businesses and services in Western Washtenaw County.

Available Services

  • Door-to-Door Transport: Provided throughout Western Washtenaw to any location within Washtenaw County.
  • Deviated Fixed-Route Connectors: Scheduled routes linking Chelsea, Dexter, and Ann Arbor.
  • Chelsea Shuttle: A free shuttle service operating within downtown Chelsea.

Fare Discounts

Reduced rates and discounts are available for the following riders:

  • Older Adults (60+)
  • Individuals with disabilities
  • Low-income households
  • Students (Preschool through 12th Grade)
