Due to poor road conditions and heavy fog, all WISD student programs will be closed today on Wednesday, January 24, 2024. This closure includes High Point School, Progress Park, Red Oak, Court Involved Youth, Young Adult Programs and Services, Deaf and Hard of Hearing, and Local-Based classrooms.
The WISD’s administrative offices at the Teaching and Learning Center will be open. The rescheduled WISD Board of Education meeting will be held tonight on Wednesday, January 24 at 5:00 pm at the TLC.
Due to inclement weather, all WISD offices are closing early at 3:30 pm on Friday, January 12, 2024.
Due to widespread power outages affecting WISD facilities, the following WISD student programs will be closed tomorrow on Friday, February 24, 2023: High Point School, Progress Park, Red Oak, Young Adult Programs and Services, Deaf and Hard of Hearing, EI Continuum and Local-Based classrooms.
WISD’s administrative office at the TLC will also be closed.
The public hearing for the Labor Day Waiver has been rescheduled for Thursday, March 9 at 5:00 pm.
Due to icy road conditions, Ann Arbor Public Schools, Lincoln Consolidated Schools and Ypsilanti Community Schools will be closed today on Friday, February 17. This closure means WISD’s local based classroom at Eberwhite Elementary and the Court-Involved Youth Program will also be closed today.
Chelsea, Dexter, Manchester, and Saline Schools will remain open today, including WISD’s local based classrooms in Dexter and Manchester.
Many other local districts and some WISD programs were already scheduled to be off today for mid-winter break, so please check your school calendar for more information.
WISD’s Teaching and Learning Center will remain open, and TLC staff should report to the office when conditions allow and it is safe to do so, or you may work remotely with supervisor approval.
